SMArt Doctors Authenticate Their Professional Identity!

Real doctors are physicians who make a difference. They do not consider themselves victims. They are leaders who do not need lobbyists or PACs to make a difference or to speak for them. Real doctors can speak for themselves. Real doctors are leaders who need only a mechanism to allow them to be heard as individuals.

The synergy of their voices becomes a wellspring of the wisdom of crowds. From that wellspring representative leaders are heard and the wisdom of crowds provides a message that is authentic because it hasn’t been watered down by the bureaucracy of an association or a lobby which desires to send an acceptable rather than an authentic message. Real doctors can be found in the Southern Medical Association which provides its physician leaders with multimedia support to broadcast their message locally, regionally and nationally to not only tin eared bureaucrats but to the public at large in order to reinvent the physician-patient relationship which was hijacked by regulatory automatons advising politicians and an insurance industry willing to pay what it takes to be the arbiters of patient care to provide value based health care which may ignore values based health care upon which you have built a career.

Realizing that patients have another name, “responsible citizen” with all the rights and responsibilities that entitles, the physician-patient relationship becomes a vital part of your professional identity. SMA assists physicians in using that identity of caring leader to protect what quality health care is by getting your thoughts and individual message into the hands of citizen patients in order to maintain the high quality of care for which physicians have always fought and which patients can protect in their voting booth. Your knowledge and philosophy and the physician-patient relationship which it enhances provides a voice far more powerful and much less costly than PACs or lobbyists. It is not a case of “together being stronger,” which appeals to membership marketing which aims that message at physicians. “Together being stronger” as a philosophy takes on greater meaning when the “together” refers to physicians and patients. Real doctors who are physician leaders will regain the high ground when the public again perceives that no institutional entity can care more about the health of patients than a physician. That is the message SMA will assist you in propagating and proving. Physician leaders are SMArt doctors who make a difference.
